"Photography can only represent the present. Once photographed, the subject becomes part of the past." - Berenice Abbott

I have always had a passion for photography. One of my favorite childhood memories was climbing ancient temples in Palenque, Mexico. We arrived early in the morning when the mist still clung to the temples like a mysterious shroud. In the still of that morning you could hear the ghosts of Mayan kings and the click of the shutter on my cheap Kodak 35mm camera. The photos I took on that day are still with me, long since digitized and shared but still very much that treasured moment when I first felt the magic of photography.

The iPhone as a powerful photographic tool

When Apple released the iPhone 4s an amazing transformation began. Where dedicated cameras once reigned now a new photographic world order stands, one that enables a new level of creativity. Of all the camera gear I have owned over the last 10 years, the iPhone stands out as the most flexible, the most creative, and by far the most fun.
