From the very first time I ever picked up a camera, I was inspired.
Both a fascination with photographic technology and the artistic ability to not just capture memories, but to embody emotions and ideas within a static image inspired me to create art that in turn inspires others. No matter what medium you choose; film, digital, video or something entirely new, this ability to impart something to your audience feels like the ultimate superpower. From the frigid fjords of Norway, to the tropical heat of the Yucatan, onward through the green landscapes of Ireland, and then to the sharp peaks of the Bavarian Alps. The photos below are some of my favorites and I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoyed creating them!
The iPhone as a powerful photographic tool
When Apple released the iPhone 4s an amazing transformation began. Where dedicated cameras once reigned now a new photographic world order stands, one that enables a new level of creativity. Of all the camera gear I have owned over the last 10 years, the iPhone stands out as the most flexible, the most creative, and by far the most fun.
